About us
How it all started
Seth and Ellie met through Connection Church’s young adults small group in 2021. Sparks flew and the Lord called them to be together and they got married in August of 2022. Seth’s heart had been called to ministry since his sophomore year of college and he has now received his four-year ministry degree through Liberty University.
When Seth heard of his home church’s need for a college ministry he jumped on the opportunity, excited to be a part of other young adults path to Christ during a time he was so strengthened in his faith and his call. Ellie is currently working on her nursing degree and has also experienced college as a pivotal time where she took ownership of her faith and is eager to assist college students to do the same!
Seth and Ellie are both ready to make mature multiplying disciples on the BHSU campus.

Why College?
With over 20 million college students around the world, the impact of this vibrant community is immense. These crucial years are filled with life-defining decisions, yet many are navigating this journey without a relationship with Jesus Christ. Surprisingly, around 70% of college students are making these significant choices without the guidance of divine grace, wisdom, and mercy.

Why BHSU?
At Black Hills State University, we have an opportunity to make a profound difference. With an enrollment of 3,400+ students, including those from Spearfish, Rapid City, and a thriving online community, the campus represents a diverse array of individuals from various backgrounds and states. Among them, 16% are first-generation college students. Our mission is clear - we want to bring the Good News of Jesus to all, especially those 2400+ students at BHSU who may not yet have a relationship with Christ.
